Rooted Readers Waiver and Emergency Information
This document outlines our shared commitment to safety and mutual respect for all families participating in the 2026/2027 sessions. By enrolling my child in Wild + Rooted Readers, I understand that this is an outdoor, nature-based, reading program. Children may be walking on uneven ground, running, climbing on low natural features and engaging in hands-on activities such as reading, writing and nature exploration. I understand that normal childhood risks may occur, including minor cuts or scrapes, insect bites, or slips and falls while running or playing. I acknowledge that the staff will provide reasonable supervision and take care to create a safe, respectful environment. Participation is voluntary and implies an assumption of these risks, releasing the organization from liability for standard accidents. To help us provide the best care, please ensure all medical and contact details are current. We view ourselves as an enrichment community rather than a daycare facility, and we are prepared to offer basic first aid should the need arise. We remain adaptable to the environment; should extreme weather occur, we will adjust our schedule to keep everyone safe.
Payment in full is required to secure your child’s space in Wild + Rooted Readers. Because group size is limited and unique materials are prepared in advance, no refunds will be issued after July 1. If you need to cancel after this date, a credit will be applied toward a future Wild + Rooted Readers session.
If Wild + Rooted must cancel a session, make‑up sessions will be added to ensure your child receives the full program experience
We love to capture the spirit of our learning through photos and video for our website. If you prefer your child not be featured, please reach out and let us know.
Wild + Rooted Collective is committed to creating a safe, respectful space for all participants. While minor disruptions are a normal part of learning and will be handled with care, Wild + Rooted Collective reserves the right to remove a child from the program if ongoing behavior compromises physical or emotional safety, or shows a repeated pattern of disrespect toward others, staff, or the environment. Although we do not expect this to be necessary, enrollment in the program indicates your understanding and acceptance of this policy.
Finally, we ask that you support our health guidelines by keeping unwell children at home so our collective can thrive.
By proceeding, you confirm you have reviewed these terms and enter into this agreement with Wild + Rooted Collective.
Program Investment $750 for 10 sessions, including an informative 1:1 reading assessment completed before the fall session begins. $600 for 10 sessions without the reading assessment. Families are invited to choose the option that best fits their needs while still receiving the full Wild + Rooted Readers experience.
