The Collective
Wild + Rooted Collective was created from a desire to bring people together through nature, learning, movement, creativity and meaningful connection.
Rooted in the belief that growth happens most naturally when people feel grounded, connected and supported, the collective offers thoughtfully curated experiences designed to nurture curiosity, creativity, emotional well-being, and community for both children and adults.
Through thoughtfully designed gatherings and experiences, Wild + Rooted Collective encourages opportunities for exploration, reflection, creativity, movement, and connection in ways that feel grounded, engaging and meaningful.

Wild + Rooted Readers
What is Wild + Rooted Readers?
Wild + Rooted Readers is a nature-based literacy and exploration program that brings stories to life through movement, creativity, regulation and outdoor adventure.
Each gathering blends engaging read-alouds with hands on projects, movement and simple regulation practices that help children feel connected, confident and engaged in the learning process.
Children gather outdoors to listen to stories, solve mysteries, explore trails, create, journal, move and connect with both nature and one another through meaningful shared experiences.
Wild + Rooted Readers supports the whole child while nurturing literacy. Each gathering follows a thoughtful rhythm of storytelling. The gentle regulation practices, movement and nature-based somatic experiences are designed to support focus, connection and emotional well-being within the learning process.

Program details at a glance
Each founding family receives a Wild + Rooted tote gathered with care to welcome your family into our first gathering season.
To help create the best possible group dynamic and experience for each child, families are invited to begin with a short interest form and introductory conversation prior to enrollment.
A 1:1 informal reading assessment will be offered prior to the start of our fall program. This is optional, but is a useful tool for us to support each child's learning experience. Families who continue into the spring session will also be offered this end of session assessment to help reflect growth and progress over time.
Investment details will be shared after interest form is received.
Wild + Rooted Collective is proud to be an approved provider through the Florida Step Up For Students scholarships.

About Theresa
Hi, I'm Theresa — a certified teacher, reading specialist and nature based educator with a passion for creating meaningful experiences that support both learning and connection.
After 20 years in the education field, I found myself drawn toward a slower and more intentional approach to learning — one that honors a child's natural curiosity, movement, emotional well-being and the natural rhythms of childhood.
Over time, both life experience and my close work with children deepened my understanding of how important it is for people to feel grounded, connected and emotionally supported to truly thrive. That perspective, along with my background in literacy and child development inspired the creation of Wild + Rooted Collective.
My hope is to create authentic spaces that bring people together through nature, learning, movement and meaningful connection.
